Yassaman Nouri: International micro-finance expert helps ultra poor in Tajikistan | Vancouver SunAn expert in micro-finance and micro-enterprise, Yassaman Nouri completed an eight-month fellowship with Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC) in 2011 where she was placed with the Aga Khan Development Network‘s The First MicroFinance Bank in Tajikistan. We had the chance to sit down with Yassaman and find out about the work she did in Tajikistan, why she keeps coming back to AKFC and why Canadians should care about international development.

Yassaman is a graduate of UBC’s Sauder School of Business BComm. Program with a concentration in finance as well as a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for contributions to communities in Canada and internationally.
