Rabindranath Tagore

The Taj Mahal, one of the most beautiful and recognized buildings of the world, was built by a husband longing for his beloved wife, as a monument to the hope for her resurrection and their eternal reuniting.  This astounding structure and its surrounding gardens is a model of the City of Heaven, reflecting the descriptions given by the Apostles John and Paul in the New Testament.  I have little understanding for the hours, the struggle, the amount of effort that went in to building this, but I am grateful to those who did – the efforts of the builders continue to bless countless generations with a window into Paradise.
